This page explains what personal information Unearthed Artisan Co. collects when you shop with us or sign up for launch updates, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Unearthed Artisan Co. is a woman-owned, home-based studio handcrafting soap, grass-fed tallow cream, and lip balm in Simi Valley, California. You can reach us at unearthedartisanco@gmail.com.
Order information: when you check out, Stripe collects your name, email, shipping address, and phone number on our behalf so we can fulfill and ship your order.
Payment information: we never see or store your card details. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — see Stripe's own privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.
Launch notifications: if you sign up to be notified when preorders open, we collect only the email address you provide.
Email list: if you join our email list, we collect only the email address you provide, and use it to send news about product launches, new scents and formulas, and occasional updates from the studio.
Shopping bag: the contents of your shopping bag are stored locally in your browser (via local storage) so your bag persists between visits. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us until you check out.
We use your information to fulfill and ship your order, to send a one-time email when preorders open (if you signed up for that), to send our email list updates (if you joined it), and to respond to questions submitted through our contact form. We don't use your information for targeted advertising, and we don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We share information only with the services that help us run our business: Stripe (payment processing), Netlify (our website host, which also handles our contact, launch-notification and email-list form submissions), and USPS (shipping and delivery). We don't share your information with data brokers or advertisers.
We keep order and contact records for as long as needed for bookkeeping, tax, and customer-service purposes, and no longer than that.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time — email unearthedartisanco@gmail.com or use our contact form. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); we'll honor requests to the extent they apply to us.
You can leave our email list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or on our unsubscribe page.
Our site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your shopping bag between visits.
Our products and site are intended for adults, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy occasionally as our business grows. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
